Intimate Hygiene – Eight basic rules

The intimate woman  hygiene stands at the border of the people’s customs and the latest fashion. It is understandable why many women still do not know the basic rules of intimate hygiene, moreover as it is a subject that they prefer not to openly discuss. Anyhow, apart from the general rules there are some other rules that you must know and never forget.
A superficial intimate hygiene can lead to serious health problems at the level of your intimate organs. You can deal with vaginal infections, cystitis, irritations that above all they are as well rather hard and expensive to be treated. In order to avoid this from happening take a look at the following rules so that you may have a healthy intimate hygiene.

1. Fade away the smell correctly – normally the genital area does not smell bad, but if you have some vaginal infection. Do not make a custom from washing excessively that area, until you believe that the smell is gone and do not perfume the area too much, as well. If you wash energetically that area too hard you may cause it more harm than good, as the tissues and the skin from this area are very sensitive. It is enough to wash this area gentle by massaging it with water and soap and then wiping it away.
2. Do not overreact with baths. It is quite normal to need and want to feel clean but you must as well impose some limits in this regard. The often showers on this area, the soaps and the cleaning gels with an aggressive PH, the antiseptic solutions or the long baths in hot water , rather cause harm to your genital area than maintain it cleaned.

Anyhow, if you want to rest assured that this area is maintained cleaned; it is enough to do a single wash or a single shower per day, in this case you may use water and soap or a special gel for the intimate hygiene. Be careful that the soap and the gel have a neutral PH.

3. Do not forget how you must wipe yourself. You may have heard this several times, but at all times it happens that you mistake and use it the wrong way. Therefore, you must wipe yourself from the front to the back. This is done in order not to bring to the genital area the germs that are provoked along with the fecal matters.

The urine is usually sterile, so the recommendations are not such firm. Despite of this in this case it is recommended the tampon rather than wiping.

4. Choose the right products. Women that are obsessed with the genital clean tend to use a lot of cosmetic products, which actually cause them worse than good things. These products, in a often usage, destroy the vaginal flora and therefore, facilitates the infections.

The products that are destined to the intimate hygiene should not contain aggressive substances and must have a neutral PH. Moreover, a friend of yours may be thrilled about a certain product, but this does not necessarily means that it will have the same effect on you. You must see on yourself what product is good for you. Apart from the usage of products that have a neutral PH, which are good for you to opt for, you must take your mind off the products such as scented napkins.

5. Choose carefully between  tampons and absorbents. Internal tampons are rather dangerous as they can trigger infections due to the fact that they may be left inside more than the recommended time. Under no doubt they are indispensable at the seaside, at the beach or in the case of some special clothes, but you must be careful that you do not leave it for too long there and that when you change and replace it, you are in a clean place where you can wash your hands before and after putting it inside. Doctors recommend that the internal tampons must be used just during the day and whether you necessarily need it. at night and each time you can, you should opt for using absorbents.

Attention as the internal tap on must remain there just for maximum 3 hours time, as if not, the body that actually wants to eliminate not to hold inside those extra things, therefore, it leads to infections if you just forget about it.

6. Do not make any vaginal washes after a sexual intercourse . You must have most certainly heard from various person’s that after an unprotected sexual intercourse you should wash immediately your vagina as the chances of getting pregnant are lower. There is nothing more false than this out of the contrary; they will make the spermatozoids be faster and more efficient.

If you use a spermicidal, the vaginal washes will decrease their efficacy.

7. No underwear wearing ! It may certainly sound tempting for one night but at the moment what we are talking about is the intimate hygiene. For a proper intimate hygiene it is better off without any underwear, especially at night time. The reason for this is that the humidity and the heat that is provoked by the underwear will favor the increase of bacteria. The same effect is met at too tight pants and tangs underwear.
8. Be careful with the things that you keep in common with other person. Washing your underwear along with other person will make the bacteria from one person’s underwear come to yours as the washing machine will not kill the germs. The boiled water is the only one that can kill them.
